FAQ’s on FAQ-TV
Q. What is FAQ-TV?
A. FAQ-TV is the production name for FAQ, Inc. FAQ, Inc. was founded over a year ago, in the Spring of 2000, in order to answer visitors’ frequently-asked questions in video form. FAQ, Inc. is a content and production company, specializing in brief information-full video segments. To inquire about becoming a content member, please email us. Q. Why is your website nearly all video?
A. Following intensive market research, we selected the video format - using both the viewer's eye and ear - as a powerful motivator for people to preview enticing establishments. There is no better way to anticipate what to expect from an establishment, whether a historic site, a restaurant or a museum, than to preview it visually. Furthermore, the audio in FAQ-TV’s video segments is usually taken directly from the experts (whether the owners or the managers) of the establishments featured. Video segments convey, in video and audio, more information in a 30- to 60-second segment than an entire paper article describing the establishment. Video, above all, is an equalizer – it allows the viewer to decide for him and herself.
Q. Why does your website focus on Boston?
A. Boston is our first market for video content. We have filmed over 30 hours of raw footage of the Boston area, and have condensed this information into bite-size video segments highlighting the historic, cultural, and tourist aspects of visiting the city and areas near the city.
Q. What is the “Video Guide to Boston?”
A. The Video Guide to Boston is a compelling, high-quality half-hour video program about Boston. The Video Guide to Boston is created for hotel guests to view in the hotel room as a separate channel. The Video Guide channel, as a source of information, is available 24 hours a day at select hotels in the Boston area. Ask at your hotel to be directed to the Video Guide channel.
